Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®)

MBTI® is the world's most widely used personality indicator. Its success results from 2 factors:
a solidly researched model which yields highly valid results
extensive applications in the workplace (and in non-work life)

OI Partners' mother company, Management Development Services Ltd. is the representative office of Asianic Psychologists Press (APP). Our programmes include the only MBTI® Accreditation programme offered in Hong Kong.

We offer 3 programmes in MBTI® :

  1. Profiling Your Management Teams
     

MBTI® was developed by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Myers on an earlier model of psychological type by the famous Swiss psychiatrist Carl G. Jung.

It explains psychological type using 4 dimensions :
Extraverted - Introverted (Energy source)
Sensing - Intuition (Perceiving the world)
Thinking - Feeling (Making decisions)
Judging - Perceiving (Lifestyle)

Scoring is done by a written questionnaire and oral questions. Results are provided in a written report and explained by a consultant. In a coaching session (one-to- one) the process takes about 2 hours. In a class setting the process is a half day programme. Individuals are profiled into one of 16 MBTI® types, which give a detailed description of their unique talents and natural strengths.

The data produced by MBTI profiling is very rich and has extensive applications in the workplace. These are:

  3. MBTI® Accreditation Programmes
     

MBTI® is essential for HR managers, trainers, management consultants, coaches and career counsellors. Management Development Services Ltd (MDS) offers accreditation programmes 3 times per year — usually in January, May and October.

Programmes are deliverd in English by Mr. David Freeman, CEO of Asianic Psychologists Press (APP); and / or Mr. Robin Ball, the Head of Learning and Development of MDS Ltd. There is a basic programme of 4 days, followed by an extra day for Expanded Interpretative Report (EIR), and another day for Leadership and Teambuilding.
